This oil-on-canvas artwork was created across three years from 1592-1594 by Tintoretto.
An overall dark composition, Jesus shines brightly in the center with a glowing halo. Along the same side of the table, the 11 apostles sit in anticipation of the Passover meal. Judas alone sits on the right, without a halo. Unlike most other works depicting the Last Supper, the servants are shown; some are washing dishes while others prepare the food. Formless angels are shown coming down from heaven for the holy meal.
Make your home a cathedral - a place for the Risen Christ to dwell bodily in each member after Holy Communion - with The Last Supper.
